Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your experience?I purchased a gas boosted Apricus Solar HWS with 310l tank, seeking the most efficient HWS possible. The overall cost was $6150. I was amazed when the Apricus trained/qualified installer used a (compliant) insulative covering on copper piping leaving piping connections, valves and junctions uninsulated and exposed to heat loss. I notified Apricus of this and in so doing became aware that the Apricus recommended insulative material is Thermobreak and not the Aramflex Solar Lagging which, although approved, is not the Apricus recommended product and I paid for a complete Apricus HWS. Apricus informed me that all connections should be properly lagged to prevent heat loss under Australian Installation Standard AS3500. I requested Green Solar Solutions to correct the installation and was referred by a series on emails to the installer who ordered the correct lagging on my behalf with tape conditional on my paying $70.75 extra. I was advised by tthe installer that he would not disconnect my system to fit the new insulation and that I would have to remove the previously fitted insulation, then cut, fit and bind the new material myself, which I duly did. Accordingly, I have downgraded the Installation and Customer service Scores above.
