Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your experience? This whole experience has made me deeply regret ever going down that path of Solar Hot water. I stupidly took the first quote (and I respect that is entirely my fault). When I asked for a solar hot water installation, I didn't ask for numerous tiles to be cracked, which lead to my roof leaking..... which took best part of my weekend to fix it. In fairness, Peninsular Enviro Solutions came over to fix the tiles a few days later, and they have always been pleasant to deal with, but I think they should have known better, working on the assumption they had been on all sorts of roofs before with ageing terracotta tiles. Another issue I had was that I was totally unaware I needed to engage the services of an electrician to provide power to the hot water unit.....after I agreed to the total sum in the quotation. Would have been nice to know all the upfront costs, as it is a big decision outlaying additional $$$$ for environmentally friendly options. I am obviosly keen to save money on gas and significantly cut down my useage, but I notice the hybrid solar hot water system burning gas in the morning..... and this is the peak of summer? I'm also not convinced the location of the panels will get the full solar intensity, when they could have been installed on my corrigated iron roof, which would have been a lot easier all round as it's uninterupted north facing sun, but I have left it to the professionals, so maybe this will be fine over winter. The hot water system has very recently started leaking hot water, and of course this has happened between Christmas and New Year, so I won't expect an answer to my call. But this shouldn't happen 2 months after the installation, so I have to rate the system quality as poor. To this point, I feel the whole experience has been more trouble than it's worth. I feel I've been severely penalised, when, at the end of the day, I'm just a good guy who's trying to do the right thing. I'm paying a few extra grand from my hard earned money to
