|Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your experience?
|We had the system installed by Allied Solar and did not even get luke warm water on what was described by the local news as Perth's most sunniest week on record. Upon complaint, a repairer was sent out and promptly blamed the tempering valve and advised us that we should have the booster switched on 24/7. We couldn't understand why on earth would we have to have the booster switched on 24/7 during "a record sunny week". Countless emails to-fro later where the sales rep insisted it was a tempering valve issue and we could hire a local plumber to have it removed if we wanted hot water. We were beginning to lose patience when another repairer fronted unannounced and without introducing himself, checked that the panels were working yet the water was stone cold, replaced a 'blockage' and bob's ur uncle. Fixed. Telling us to fork out money to hire a local plumber to remove the tempering valve and have out booster switched on would have costed so much more because the sales rep refused to listen to our suggestion that the unit was faulty, not the tempering valve. We were not impressed.
